This debate forum, should be a politics-free zone, and arguments (both affirmative and negative) should avoid demonising personalities.

There are many reasons that social media convos descend into destructive personal jibes (and even bullying). One is that debaters, while venting legitimate grievances, are "remote" from "face-to-face" situations (in which opinions are generally put more civilly). However, simply pushing party-political or narrow opinions and gratuitously criticising people (who may think differently) doesn't inform others or advance the knowledge we need to reach informed views.
